You are having chicken pox or german measles and you found out you are 3 weeks pregnant. Antibiotics would cause harm and damage to the growing fetus and yet, you didn’t mean to be infected CP or GM. Would you opt for abortion? Yes or No and why.Without thinking twice I will keep my baby simply because I believe in miracles and my faith tells me God will not abandon me and I will not disappoint Him. I will be a hypocrite if I say it will not worry me or that I will not be upset or not question Him. This is a natural reaction. The challenge for anyone who is faced with decisions that involve lives is keeping the faith. We need to surrender to God and allow Him to take over. Not having control of certain situations is one that angers us but let us not forget that we are given choices. In this particular scenario, I think there are only 2 choices to make, one is to keep the baby and second is to have him/her adopted, not kill the fetus.
There may be people who will disagree with me and think the child is better of as a spiritual being, an angel rather than a child born with deformities. The thing is, we do not know what the outcome will be. It is the fear of the unknown that makes people "play safe" so to speak. Parenting is one of the hardest jobs, the responsibility is overwhelming and one may feel incapable of caring for a possible mentally or physically challenged child. But then again I do believe in miracles.
Case in point, my friend was infected with german measles when she was in her early weeks of pregnancy. She did not think twice about keeping the fetus. She asked for prayers. Lo and behold, she gave birth to a healthy girl who is now in her teens and very healthy.
In a nutshell, we need to have strong faith. We are responsible for the choices we make so there must be no regrets. We cannot look back and deal with the "ifs" and "buts" for the rest of our lives. As sure as I am that after a storm, there is calmness, I am sure God will always be with me.

"Do you believe in the saying TELL ME WHO YOUR FRIENDS ARE AND I'LL TELL YOU WHO YOU ARE?"

thank you so much for doing the tag, Mayi. You said your point in a very encouraging way. It is very well said.
Will let someone read this - and I surely know it would be an enlightenment to her decision.
Thanks again. Take care.
I agree with your answer. I'd do the same.

Hi Mayi. This is a very serious question. Thanks for the tag. I have a few more memes to finish but I promise to put this one on queue.
I agree with your answer. It's a tough situation but I wouldn't have the heart to choose abortion. I'll share more upon posting my answer.
thanks rachel. sorry if i added to your list of articles to do but thought you would give a really good insight on this matter.
But what if we have scans done on the growing fetus and these tests say definitely the baby will be damaged and won't be a functional human being as we define functionality -- what then? Just trying to extend the premises. Frankly, I don't know what my answer will be.
Hi annamanila, I guess when it comes to this, we only have to have faith. I know it is easier said than done but I still believe in possibilities. Thanks.
